Amy Lynn Parker (39) of Tucson was born June 13th, 1984 in Portland, Oregon. She graduated from Tigard High School where she played water polo and was on the swim team. After high school, she graduated from the Western Culinary Institute. She lived in the Portland area until 2018 when she moved to Tucson, AZ. She passed away unexpectedly early in the morning on December 31st, 2023.
Her friends and family lovingly remember her as sweet, kind, loving, funny, empathetic, friendly, easy to love, sparkly, with a unique and infectious laugh. Amy loved anything to do with animals and the outdoors, especially beaches and mountains. She loved music of all kinds from oldies to metal, and her favorite song was “I Can Hear Music” by the Beach Boys. Amy was generous and loyal and was thought of as family by her closest friends.
Left to mourn her passing are her parents Linda Fallon (John) and Tom Parker (Mary), sister Kera Parker and brother Ryan Parker, grandfather Ken Fallon, loving partner Leo Garbarino, aunts and uncles, and many dear friends.
There will be a small memorial gathering in Tucson at a later date.
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.
