Arthur Hetherington

Art, 73, passed away in Tucson, AZ July 25, 2022 with his life long partner, David Marty, at his side. Art was born and grew up in St. Cloud, MN. He moved to Minneapolis in 1980 and spent 25 years working for the State of Minnesota. After he retired, he and David moved to Tucson in 2019.

Home and family were always a priority for Art, and being a great chef, he loved to entertain. He was an avid gardener and would groom his yard for every season. He frequently traveled internationally and loved to explore new areas.

He is preceded in death by his father Jerome in 1981, his mother Lucille in 2022, and his sister Mary Kaye in 1966. Art is survived by his partner David Marty, his siblings: Joyce, Linda (Fred), Patty (Kenny), Mike (Mary), his eight nieces and nephews, and 16 great nieces and nephews.

Art will be greatly missed by his family and friends. There will be a Celebration of Life from 1pm – 4pm on September 17th, 2022 at Elsie’s, located at 729 Marshall St., NE Minneapolis, MN 55413.
