Becky Jo Hummel

Becky Jo Hummel, age 55, of Vail, Arizona, passed away on May 9, 2024. Born on April 10, 1969, in Anderson, Indiana, she was the beloved daughter of Mary Massey and Jerry Massey.

Becky was a devoted wife to Scott Hummel, with whom she shared nearly 29 years of marriage since their wedding day on July 29, 1995. She was a loving mother to Ricky Alfonso, Nicholas Hummel, Justin Hummel, and Moissa Gilliom, nurturing them with love, wisdom, and encouragement.

Her life was touched by deep joy as well as profound sorrow. Becky is preceded in death by an unborn child, cherished in memory, her son Ricky Alfonso, Mary Massey (mom) Steven Garling (nephew), Mike Hummel (brother-in-law), Don Aldrich (father-in-law), and Roger Hummel (father-in-law). Each loss was a blow to her heart, yet she carried on with an unwavering spirit, supported by her family and her strong faith.

She is survived by her husband, Scott Hummel; sons, Nick (Kayleigh) and Justin, daughter, Moissa (Jacob); Father, Jerry Massey; Mother-in-law, Susanne Aldrich; Sisters, April (Shawn) Eicks and Kelly (Andy) Garling; Sister-in-laws, Tisha (Alltus) Edwards, Lisa Blair, Kim Hummel; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Becky was known for her caring, loving, and nurturing personality. Her hobbies included reading, coloring, tending to her flower garden. In her younger years, she was a bowler and played Dungeon and Dragons. She was a big fan of fantasy and mythical creatures, especially dragons. Her home was also adorned with cherished collections such as the Hummel figurines.
