Carol Heffernan

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Carol Heffernan, who was born on September 17, 1953, in New York City. After a courageous battle with cancer, Carol departed this life on November 20, 2024, at the age of 71. She fought valiantly, demonstrating unwavering strength and grace until the very end.

Carol was the cherished wife of Thomas Eugene Heffernan for 42 wonderful years. She was a loving mother to her two daughters, Jessica Marie Vaughn and Rebecca Lynn Gutierrez, and a proud grandmother to her grandson, Adrian Thomas Heffernan, and his wife, Victoria Heffernan. She was also a devoted great-grandmother to little Adonis Thomas Heffernan, as well as a loving grandmother to Kayleb Anthony Gutierrez, Liam Tierney Heffernan, Alianah Faith Gutierrez, and Siobahn Lezah-Marie Vaughn. A strong familial bond held Carol’s heart, and she is also survived by her dear sisters-in-law, Linda, Lisa, and Michelle, along with her brother-in-law, David. Carol also leaves behind countless nieces, nephews, and extended family members who were all deeply cherished by her, as well as countless friends who were touched by her kind spirit.

Carol has now been reunited in Heaven with many dear loved ones who preceded her in death, including her mother, Hazel Flynn; her father, Edward Flynn; her mother-in-law, Joan Marie Heffernan; her father-in-law, Eugene Heffernan; her Uncle Larry; her Aunt Betty; her niece and nephew, Lezah-Marie and Michael Joseph, and many other dear ones.

As the heart and soul of our family, Carol’s love, kindness, and unwavering dedication created an everlasting impact on all who knew her. We are forever grateful for the joy she brought into our lives. Though she may no longer be with us in body, her spirit will continue to inspire us and guide us from above. Carol is now our everlasting angel, looking down upon us, and we will carry her love in our hearts for all eternity. We love you dearly, Carol, now and forever. Until we meet again, may you rest in peace. God bless you, you are deeply missed!
