Cathleen A. Downs

Cathleen A. Downs was born October 6, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan. She died November 27, 2024 in Tucson, Arizona.

Cathy was a devoted wife to John L. Downs; beloved sister of Patty Deboard and Thomas Sterling; mother of John W., Michael A. and James J.; loving grandmother of six grandchildren, Kayla, Alexa, Julia, Tristen, Hunter and Bentley. 

Cathy was loved by all who knew her. She proudly served her country from 1967-1972 and again from 1975-1990. Her Tupperware business brought her great joy. She was also an American Legion member, having forty years of membership between American Legion Post 789 in Carthage, New York and Post 36 in Tucson. 

God took another angel home and she will be dearly missed.

Service with military honors will be held 9:00 AM, Thursday, January 2, 2024 at the Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 15950 N. Luckett Rd., Marana, Arizona 85653.
