Daniel Kenneth Craig, 73, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away on September 26, 2022. He was born in Southfield, Michigan on March 3, 1949, to parents Robert Daniel Craig and Donna Lucile Craig.
Danny grew up in Birmingham, Michigan, and attended the same grade school as Tim Allen. He and his family moved to Arizona in the mid 60’s and he graduated high school in Elfrida, Arizona. He graduated from Cochise College in Douglas, Arizona, with an Associate Degree in Art.
Danny lived in Collinsville, Oklahoma, where he worked at Memorial Hospital. He then lived briefly in Wyoming, and finally settled in Southern Arizona, working at Apache Powder and then with Cochise College. He could often be found drawing or reading, and he was considered a History Channel buff. He appreciated nature and learning about animals, and he liked to fish. He loved music and his Church.
Danny was a country boy at heart. He loved being outdoors caring for the animals. Watching the weather roll in and out. He always greeted people with open arms and he would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He would bend over backwards for someone in need. He gave his own bill money to help someone he thought needed it more.
He always had a joke up his sleeve to tell. He had his quiet moments especially when he was deep in thought and even when it physically was a struggle for him he would somehow find just enough energy to help you and get the job done. We will miss his jokes his laughter his smiles his gentle soul. He left us way too soon!
Danny is survived by his loving wife Sandra, children Gabrielle and Dan, Stepchildren Eric, Micky, Diane, Tammy, Mark, Chris and Jasmine. Grandchildren Abigail, Shannon, Brandon, Corrie, Austin, and Cody. Greatgrandchildren Spencer, Olivia, Jackson, Eily, Libby, Remington, and Titus.
He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
