David T. Ratliff

It is with a heavy heart that we announce David Talmadge Ratliff peacefully passed in his sleep on May 25, 2023 in Tucson, AZ.

David Talmadge Ratliff was born January 7, 1944 in Wichita Falls, TX to parents Laron and Dolores (Porter) Ratliff. He attended grade school in Glendale, CA., middle school in Tulsa OK, and Hun Prep School of Princeton in New Jersey. He eventually went on to attend Boston University. After his time getting an education, David joined the Marines and was stationed in Quantico, Virginia. Ever the traveler, David then went to work in Witchita, Kansas for Lear Jet. He moved to Tucson and in 1980 started his own business: Ratliff Aviation and Tucson Jet Ceter. He was a proud President of his businesses until he concluded his time there in 2021. David was also very involved in several organizations. He was a member of Mountain Oyster Club and the British Car Club of Southern Arizona. David had a big personality that livened any room, and a great sense of humor.

David is predeceased by his parents, Lavon and Dolores Ratliff, and his sister Lonna Brzazowski.
David is survived by his wife Kristin, his son David Jr. and daughter-in-law Ning Lim of Hong Kong, son Christopher and daughter-in-law Monica of Santa Cruz, CA, daughter Ann and son-in-law Jason Caulthard of Tucson, AZ, and Nick and daughter-in-law Francis of Austin, TX. He also has 13 beautiful grandchildren.
David will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
