Donald S. Morris, affectionately known as "Mr. Don," was born on January 21, 1946, in Washington, DC, to Dewey Clyde Morris and Dolores Schwartz Lyons. He spent his formative years in Washington and Maryland, attending Linton Hall School and Central High School. In 2000, Donald relocated to Arizona, where he resided until his passing on December 28, 2023.
On November 30, 1987, Donald married his beloved wife, Chery Morris, in Stateline, Nevada. Donald had a wide range of hobbies, including bowling, attending car shows and races, playing cards, and visiting the casino. However, his greatest joys were spending time with his family, friends, and indulging in good food.
A member of the Fair Lanes Bowling League and Capitol Plaza, Donald had a contagious laughter and an affinity for sharing jokes. He was known for his sociable nature, never meeting a stranger and being loved by everyone he encountered.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey C. Morris and Dolores Schwartz Lyons, as well as Janet Dale Malick, Jill Spradley, Linda Pyles, and Gloria Wheeler.
He is survived by Emma Pyles, Vicky Sheppard, Jack Morris, Phillis Hutton, Carol Lazaras, David Pearson, Dianna Fritz (Sanford), Lisa Morris (Whiting), Darin Morris, Angela Hall (Phillip), Donald Morris Jr., and Daniel Morris, along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.
