Donna Fay Kelleher passed away on May 29, 2024, in Tucson, Arizona, surrounded by her family. Born on October 3, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Nina and Ernest Ernsky, and a graduate of Rincon High School in Tucson. Donna earned her credentials as a Registered Nurse in 1986 at Charity Hospital School of Nursing in New Orleans. Her commitment to caring for others led her to become a pediatric nurse, a role in which she found profound fulfillment and purpose. Donna’s dedication extended beyond the ordinary, as she served as a Pediatric Hospice Nurse at Tucson Medical Center, offering comfort and support to children and families during their most challenging times.
On May 21, 1965, Donna married the love of her life, Dan Kelleher, in Flagstaff, Arizona, embarking on a lifelong partnership. Together, they built a home filled with warmth and hospitality, where friends and family were always welcomed. Donna’s culinary talents were renowned, and she found joy in hosting gatherings and sharing her delicious creations with those that she held dear.
A faithful member of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church in Tucson, Arizona, Donna served as an Usher Coordinator, Office Minister, and member of the Altar Guild.
Donna is survived by her husband, Dan Kelleher, her children, Dana Jones (Chris), Chelly Bonano (John) and Danny Kelleher, her sister Debi Hall (Mark), her brother Doug Ernsky (Susie), her grandchildren, Jonathan and Joshua Bonano, and Sarah and Emma Jones, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nina and Ernest Ernsky, her twin sister, Diana Ellis, and her brother-in-law, David Ellis.
A funeral service will be held on June 29, 2024, at 10:00 am at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 9071 E. Old Spanish Trail in Tucson, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to TMC Hospice at TMCHospice.com.
