Frances Marie Bethell

Frances Marie Bethell died March 27, 2025 in Tucson, Arizona at the age of 76. She was born August 1, 1948 in Cheyenne Wells, Colorado to Frank and Dorothy Slaven. They moved to Tucson where she grew up and attended Flowing Wells High School before joining the Army. She was stationed in South Dakota and when she was discharged she and her daughter, Brenda moved back to Tucson. Frances would then attend Pima Community College.

Frances married John Bethell in 1979. She loved being a mother and later a grandmother and great grandmother. Her family meant the world to her. She was a member of The Upper Room Church where she had her church family and enjoyed Bible class. Her love for God was immense. Frances exemplified God's teaching with her loving, caring nature and her amazing strength. She also enjoyed painting ceramics in her free time.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Dorothy.

Frances is survived by her loving husband, John Bethell; daughter, Brenda Neill; grandchildren, Cameron Neill and Aaron Neill; great-grandchildren, Heaven, Ellijah, Angel, Faith, Braxton and Emerson; and her siblings, Suzie Schoen, Daniel Slaven and Ruth Slatery.
