Frank Vasquez Barraza, born May 15, 1951, in Douglas Arizona, and a long-time resident of Tucson, Arizona, departed this life on June 10th, 2024, at the age of 73.
Frank, a treasured husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend, was known for his love of life and his ability to light-up a room. His passion for dance, his playful spirit, and his unwavering dedication to his family were the hallmarks of his character. frank’s laughter and warmth will be profoundly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 27 years, Nora Barraza, and his first wife Virginia Cruz, mother to his five Children: Frank Jr., Norma (Howard), Mark (Glenda), Alice, and Yvonne Married to Jorge). Frank was also a stepfather to Richard, Annie, and Jose. His Siblings, Thomas Barraza and Margaret Encinas, will cherish his memory, as will his 20 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren, along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Frank was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Barraza, Mother Francisca V. Barraza, sisters Virginia Berumen, Alicia Higuera and Dora Arvayo, and Brother Ruben Barraza.
A proud graduate of Douglas High School, frank went on to a successful career, retiring from a managerial position at Jiffy Lube. His hobbies included watching sports and films, particularly westerns and action movies. Frank’s love for tacos was well known among his family and friends.
The Family invites those who wish to pay their respects to attend a viewing on June 18th, 2024, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Sensible Cremation and Funerals, located at 109 W Grant Rd, Tucson, AZ 85705.
Frank’s legacy of joy, family, and laughter will endure in the hearts of those he touched. Frank was loved by many, and he will be missed
