Frank Perkins Stryker (74) died peacefully, at home, with family and friends by his side on
Thursday, March 30, 2023.
Frank was born in Doylestown, PA; his family moved to Tucson, AZ in 1961. His passion for the
desert landscape led him to own Roadrunner Nursery, followed by Silverbell Nursery and Living
Desert Designs until his retirement in 2021. He discovered his love of painting later in life and
was able to express his appreciation of desert plants in his beautiful artwork.
Frank is survived by: Johanna, his wife of 23 years. Children: Jason Stryker (Emma), Chris
Smit (Satsuki), Matt Smit (Cassy), Blaire Stryker-Vincent (Chris) and Daniel Smit.
Grandchildren: Cain, Makayla, Haylee, Aili, Kai, Grace, Landyn, Evelyn, Jackson and Stella.
Great-grandchild: Ennika. His two brothers, Stephen and Daya.
Frank was predeceased by his siblings: Julius (Jube), Gertrude (Perky), Michael and his spouse
Lesli.
Frank leaves behind a lasting legacy of love in all who knew and loved him. He will be missed
beyond measure.
At Frank’s request, there will be no funeral services; however, an open-house to honor Frank’s
memory will be held at the family home in Tucson, AZ on Saturday, May 13th, 2023 from 2:00
pm – 6:00 pm.
