Franklin Delano Roosevelt Gunter was born in January of 1943 near Ashville, North Carolina to Arthur and Mattie Gunter. After his attendance of schooling in the area, he was inducted into military service in 1966 in the United States Army.
While serving Franklin "Buddy" Gunter completed Special Forces Training and saw to serve in the war in Viet Nam between1966 and 1970. After completing his term in the service, he returned to the United States and eventually joined the United States Border Patrol, where he was stationed in the Nogales Border Patrol Station.
In March of 1984, he married the love of his life Ms. Patricia Celina Picot. Their union gave birth to two children, Bianca and Edwin Gunter.
In April of 2023 Franklyn "Buddy" Gunter went on to be with his Lord in Tucson, Arizona at the age of 80 years old. He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Gunter. He is survived by his daughter Bianca Gunter and Grandson Michael Felix Gaitan Jr of Tucson Arizona.
