Gary L. Deavult

Gary Lee Deavult, 75, born in Decatur, Illinois, passed away peacefully on December 20th, with his beloved family around him. Gary is preceded in death by his wife Esta, and parents Lyle and Imogene Deavult. He is survived by children, Art (Elle) Deavult, Tammy (Albert) Hall, Sherrie (Eduardo) Flores, Wayne (Sarha) Deavult; grandchildren, Stephen, Savanna, Sophia, Kyra, Rasheed, Millie, Idgie, and Estabella.

Gary moved from Decatur, Illinois to Tucson, Arizona at a young age with his parents. He graduated from Amphitheater High School in 1967. Gary married his late wife Esta on December 28, 1974. They had four beautiful children and many grandchildren. Gary worked as a Carpenter for many years before running an Automotive Mechanic Shop. He then returned to work as a carpenter for Bunnies Construction Company where he retired in 2010. 

Gary was an avid car racing lover. He not only worked on them but drove them any chance he could get. He loved the smell of fuel, the feel of the dirt flying and could often be found helping friends in the pits on any given Saturday night. He loved summer camping and fishing in the White Mountains, at the crack of dawn you could find him throwing out his first cast of the day. Cooking over the open fire and late nights around the fire pit brought a smile to his face. 

Gary loved his children, grandchildren, family and friends fiercely. He was as stubborn and strong minded as they came, which kept him fighting as long as he did to stay with the ones he loved. 

He was loved and admired by many and will be dearly missed by everyone.
