Hector Daily, born on July 18, 1935, and departed from this world on April 11, 2024, leaves behind a legacy as vast and enduring as the Arizona sky.
A man of unwavering commitment and honor, Hector's sense of duty led him to enlist in the United States Marine Corps. Despite his eagerness to serve, his mother's wise intervention ensured he waited until his eighteenth birthday. In Vietnam, Hector took on shrapnel, emerging scarred but unbowed, a testament to his resilience and bravery. Though the Purple Heart eluded him, his valor was unquestionable.
In Hector's youth, he rode the range as a professional cowboy, earning countless belt buckles and cash prizes. Transitioning from the open range to the bustling cityscapes, Hector dedicated himself to the family trade, Daily Construction of Tucson and Phoenix. Alongside his father and brother.
He went on to Pima College where he learned to weld. With his knowledge he went on to work on skyscrapers from top to bottom. Hector was an avid outdoorsman; he loved to fish and hunt he passed these skills on to his son. Marc fondly recalls the lessons imparted by his father, who possessed a keen eye and steady hand, whether wielding a fishing rod or a gun.
Above all, Hector was a man of integrity, fairness, and pride. He was his son's best friend, He will be missed by many friends and family.
Hector is survived by his son Marc Daily, daughter in law Betsy Daily Grandchildren Walter Daily, Spencer Daily, Kaiser Daily, Alicia Kidd and Michelle McKenna Dad Rest in peace.
