Ida Espinoza

Ida Espinoza passed away peacefully on April 3, 2025, just one week shy of her 82nd birthday, with her beloved husband of 61 years, Frank Espinoza, by her side.

Born in the small town of Ajo, Arizona, on April 10, 1943, Ida lived a life full of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. She was the proud mother of three children: Leaetta Bustamante (Bernie), Curtis Espinoza (Susan), and Dion. She was also blessed with six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, each of whom she cherished deeply.

Ida was known for her impeccable sense of style—always beautifully dressed with her hair and nails done to perfection. Her love for fashion was matched only by her love for people. She never turned down a lunch date and was a loyal, lifelong friend to many. Ida had a warm, honest nature and a gift for making everyone feel welcome.

A gracious hostess, Ida’s home was a place of comfort and joy. If you walked through her door, you were guaranteed a hot meal—and “no” was never an acceptable answer when she offered you a plate.

She found joy in the simple pleasures of life: shopping, getting her hair and nails done, dining out, and cheering from the sidelines at her grandkids’ and great-grandkids’ sporting events. Above all, Ida’s proudest achievement was her family. She poured her heart into caring for them, and her legacy lives on in each life she touched.

Ida’s favorite color was purple, a hue as vibrant and graceful as she was. Her life was a beautiful testament to love, strength, and generosity. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
