Jacob “Jake” Puckett, son of Lorri and Harley Puckett III, left this world to find peace on February 22, 2023.
The same hands who delivered him to us on December 26, 1999 carried him home. He grew up in Tucson and went to Fountain of Life Lutheran School through middle school, and graduated from Tanque Verde High School in 2018. He loved playing basketball, both in school and pickup games. He trained and obtained his barber’s license through Southern Arizona Barber College and became an accomplished and well-loved member of the team at Gentlemen’s Choice Barber Shop.
Jacob had a huge heart, an infectious laugh and smile, and always put others first - helping people whenever and however he could. He loved his family, was passionate about writing and recording music, playing the game “Catch Phrase,” trips to Mt. Lemmon, and the beaches in San Diego. On his day off on Wednesdays, he would hang out with his dad, watching movies, doing his laundry, and raiding the refrigerator (especially if there was pub cheese and crackers available).
Jacob is survived by his parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his best friend Nathan.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 3, 2023, at 3 p.m. in the sanctuary at Christ Presbyterian Church, 6565 E Broadway Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85710. Following the service, all who have come to remember the light that Jacob brought to this world are welcome to gather for a reception in the Fellowship Hall.
Forever 23. Forever in our hearts. Rest easy.
