Jane Starret Asch

Jane (Starrett) Asch, 72, died December 19, 2020 in Tucson, AZ with her beloved husband by her side. Jane was born in Athol, Massachusetts on May 11, 1948, the daughter of Raymond and Eunice (Brown) Starrett.
She was raised and educated in Athol, Mass., and Scotland.
Jane enjoyed horseback riding, racing motorcycles, and skiing. She won an alpine skiing race in Switzerland when she was a teenager.
In the 1970s, she moved to Bisbee, Arizona where she showed her passion for helping others. She worked with Catholic Social Services, attended nursing school at Cochise College and became an RN in 1986. She worked for 30 years as an ICU nurse, then another 10 years as a hospice nurse.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years Ric Asch; her brother Paul Starrett and his wife Patty; her son Glen R Starrett and his wife Carol J Marotti; her stepson Josh Asch; grandchildren Jessica T Starrett, Kai M Starrett, Payton Asch, and Chelsea Asch; four nephews Craig, Mark, Shawn, and Josh and several cousins.
She was predeceased by her brothers Richard R. Starrett in 1985, and Vernon F. Starrett in 2010.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, May 21, 2021 at Sensible Cremation and Funerals, 109 W. Grant Rd., Tucson, AZ 85705 from 2pm - 4pm
Jane's ashes will be scattered over the ocean off the New England coast per her wishes in a private ceremony.
