Javier Gradias, Sr.

Javier Gradias, 77, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away on February 8, 2025. Born in Pilares de Nacozari, Sonora, Mexico and raised in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, Javier had a lifelong passion for music and was a talented singer. In the 1960s, he was a member of the Spanish rock group Los Gamis, sharing his love for music with the world.

Beyond his musical talents, Javier enjoyed swimming and found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He had a great sense of humor and was known for making family and friends laugh. His quick wit and playful spirit brought joy to those around him, leaving behind cherished memories filled with love and laughter.

Javier is survived by his loving wife, Eva Gradias; his children, Rosa Nidia, mother to Aryana, Omar, and Julianna; Javier, Jr. and his wife, Katrina, parents to Jaynee and grandparents to Isabella, Richard, Layla, and Zachary; and Martin and his wife Christina, parents to Diamond, Lily, and Mila. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose love and guidance will be deeply missed.

Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, Friday, February 21, 2025 at Sensible Funerals & Cremation, 109 W. Grant Rd., Tucson, Arizona 85705. Family, friends, and all who knew him are invited to pay their respects and celebrate his life.

Javier’s memory will live on through his music, his laughter, and in the hearts of those who loved him.
