Jenny Irene Nunez

Jenny I. Nunez, age 80, passed into the arms of her Savior on Monday, March 10, 2025, at Banner University Medical Center in Tucson, AZ.

Jenny was born in Tucson, AZ on November 23rd, 1944. She completed high school and earned her diploma as a Warrior at Pueblo High School. After graduating high school, she went on to complete beauty school. Soon after, she married young and dedicated a significant portion of her life to being a devoted wife and mother. The girls vividly remember always having fresh homemade food, and best of all her homemade tortillas.

She attended classes at Pima Medical Institute for medical billing, followed by employment at University Physician Healthcare, Aetna, and ending her career at Carondelet Medical Group.

Jenny was a faithful catholic, regularly attending Sunday and midweek masses. Big on traditions, she loved spending time with her family, especially during the holidays where she could share her prayers and love for the Lord. After spending time with family, her parting words were always “God Bless you, Love you”.

Jenny is survived by her daughters, Jenny (Eddie) Chavez, Elizabeth (Heriberto) Federico, Cristina (Richie✝️) Martinez-Ortiz, Stephanie (Noe) Talamante; son Ruben Martinez; her grandchildren, Estevan (Angelica Torres) Federico, Valerita Federico, Lorenzo (Ayleen) Chavez, Raul (Gina) Chavez, Carlos Chavez, Emilio (Caitlin) Ortiz, Eliana Ortiz, Ollie Friend, Sophia Friend, Noeli Talamante; 10 great-grandchildren; and 7 brothers and 1 sister. Jenny was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Oralia Yslas; 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

Jenny will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, and anyone whose life she has touched. Honoring her final wish to be taken to the ocean as her final resting place.

A Rosary service for Jenny will be held Thursday, March 27th, 2025 at 9:30 am with a Mass to follow at 10:00 AM at Most Holy Trinity Parish, 1300 N. Greasewood Road, Tucson, AZ 85745
