John Michael Popovich

John Michael Popovich, age 68, of Tucson, AZ (formerly of Shadyside, OH), passed away peacefully after a long battle with COPD. He was born in Bellaire, OH to John and Norma Popovich, both of whom have preceded him in death. John spent most of his adult life in Tucson, AZ, but always had a special place in his heart for his childhood friends from Shadyside. He will always be remembered for his generosity and his willingness to help those in need. His love of God sustained him and he knew that “…all things work together for good to those who love God…” Romans 8:28.

John is survived by his sisters Paula Farrell of Hurricane, WV and Susan Walls of Holly Springs, NC, former wife Chris Fulton of Green Valley, AZ, daughter Robin Flannery of Tucson, two grandsons, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Our family would like to extend special thanks to Rudy Bresiger of N Canton, OH who was a second father to John and Tracy Eddinger of Tucson, who was a very special and faithful friend to him.
