John P. Wynns

John P. Wynns was born to Jack and Dorothy Wynns in Los Angeles, California. He grew up in San Fernando Valley, in Los Angeles, CA. After graduating from high school John joined the U.S Naval Service and built a career working for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. In 2002 he retired to Tucson, AZ

John was a member of the Royal Philatelic Society of London Collectors Club of New York, American Philatelic Society, the Tucson stamp Club, and the Arizona Philatelic Rangers.

John was avid stamp collector for 30 years and traveled all over the world going to stamp shows and receiving many awards

John is preceded in death by parents John and Dorothy Wynns.

John is survived by his siblings Christine Veach, Mark Wynns, Paul Wynns, Tom Wynns, best friends Dickson Preston, Joe Bock and Edward Wejk who has helped so graciously in donating his stamps and finding new homes to collectors.
