John Younger Jr.

It is with great sadness that we announce that our brother John Jr. has passed away on October 24th. Although he had been sick for several years, his passing was sudden and unexpected.

John is survived by his Mother Florence Younger, his loving son Jerome Younger, daughter in law Kim Younger, former wife Stephanie Alexander, sister Janice Malone, brother in law Greg Malone, sister Samantha Bell, brother Thomas Younger, sister in law Brenda Younger, and brother John Robert Younger. Also survived by his nieces Markeisha, Destyne and Isabella, and nephew Carlos.

Jr was very proud of his only son Jerome, and all of his accomplishments. He was a proud Grandpa to Jerome and Kim’s children Kaylen, Tamara, Jaxson, and Katrice and a great grandpa to Ramyah. He loved seeing pictures and videos of the grand kids many activities.

John leaves behind many relatives from Virginia, aunts and cousins he often spoke fondly of. John was a proud retired Air Force veteran. During his service, he was stationed in Korea and learned to speak Korean fluently. Jr loved to tell jokes and always had a story to tell. He was certain that big foot and dog man were real. He was a computer engineer and loved programming and technology. Jr lived his life on his own terms.

He’s gone too soon and will be greatly missed, but we are thankful that he’s no longer suffering.
