Joseph Ignatius Montaño was born March 18, 1951 in Tucson, Arizona to Leonides Bustamante and Emilia Camou Montaño. He died January 8, 2025, after living his life in Tucson.
Joe was born into a large loving family. He had eight brothers and sisters. His eldest sister, Violet, was there to meet him in Heaven along with his parents.
The rest of his family left to cherish his memory include his son, Joseph V. Montaño; daughters, Sarah (Cary Sadowski) Montaño, Kristin Montaño and Anne (Glenn) Peters; brothers, Ralph (Esther) Montaño and Leo (Rosemarie) Montaño; sisters, Elizabeth (Rick) Rollman, Irma (Richard) Flores, Grace (Albert) Rigoli, Norma (Gavin) Kayner and Rose Mary (Robert) Miranda; grandchildren, Cade, Ella and Leighton Sadowski and Caitlyn and Justice McClellan; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Joe will be missed beyond words but we know he is with our Lord and at peace.
Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at Santa Cruz Catholic Church, 1220 S. 6th Avenue, Tucson, Arizona 85713.
Interment directly following Mass at Holy Hope Cemetery, 3555 N. Oracle Road, Tucson, Arizona 85705.
