Joseph Ignatius Montaño was born March 18, 1951 in Tucson, Arizona to Leonides Bustamante and Emilia Camou Montaño. He died January 8, 2025, after living his life in Tucson. He was a graduate of Salpointe Catholic High School, he owned Joe’s Auto & Truck repair for many years. He had a big heart and went out of his way to help others.
In later years Joe had a hard life and made some bad choices, he used his strength and perseverance to overcome his challenges and knew he needed to make amends along the way. He enjoyed his Raising Cane’s meals and loved to indulge in his Dr. Pepper and Snickers cravings.
Joe was born into a large loving family. He had eight brothers and sisters. His eldest sister, Violet, was there to meet him in Heaven along with his parents.
The rest of his family left to cherish his memory include his son, Joseph V. Montaño; daughters, Sarah (Cary Sadowski) Montaño, Kristin Montaño and Anne (Glenn) Peters; brothers, Ralph (Esther) Montaño and Leo (Rosemarie) Montaño; sisters, Elizabeth (Rick) Rollman, Irma (Richard) Flores, Grace (Albert) Rigoli, Norma (Gavin) Kayner and Rose Mary (Robert) Miranda; grandchildren, Cade, Ella and Leighton Sadowski and Caitlyn and Justice McClellan; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Joe will be missed beyond words, but we know he is with our Lord and at peace.
