Julian R Amaro

March 4, 1970 — October 20, 2023

Julian R. Amaro, 53, of Tucson, AZ, went to his heavenly home on October 20, 2023. He passed peacefully at home surrounded by family, friends, and fur grandbabies.
Growing up, he loved following his big brothers around the neighborhood and getting into mischief with his best friends. And his little sister, they shared an unconditional love and ooh the secrets they shared.
Being a dad was his proudest moments, he treasured his kiddos and loved taking them to the movies, taking them to hockey and football games and eating hot dogs and peanuts, cheering for them in sports, taking them on vacations and had a special spot at sunset cliffs.
He graduated from Cholla High School in 1988 and was the quarterback superstar, he would say “You can’t touch this”. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1990 and proudly served his country and fought in the Gulf War. He shared many stories of his experiences in the Corps and loved his brotherhood. He worked for the Bureau of Prisons as a corrections officer before retiring.
He loved riding his motorcycle and later rockin away to Ozzy in his truck. He loved computer games and jamming out to his music.
He had a sarcastic sense of humor which will be missed.
He is preceded in death by his dad, Ramon and siblings Vincent and Annette Amaro. He is survived by his mom, Norma, and siblings Anthony “Tony” (Margaret), Saul (Debbie) and Selina Amaro.
Dad to Anastasia, Mireya, and Julian “Cito” and grandfather to Conor Apperson and fur babies Sage, Kahlua, Luna and King.
Godfather to David Andrew and Helayna Curiel.
Uncle to Saul “Jr”, Michael “Mike”, Gabriel “Gabe” Amaro, Yvette Rivera, Nicole Danielson, Anjeanette “Aj” Lopez, Selisa Curiel and Zoey Amaro.
Great Uncle to Milo, Jacob, Ian, Noah, Owen, Emily Amaro, Dominique Mesa, Jiselle Rivera, Orlando and Lorenzo Lopez.
Even though it hurts, we know you’re in a better place looking over us always. We are so thankful for all the memories we shared together. You will be forever missed but never forgotten. We love you!
