Kathryn Daniel Hull
November 10, 1935 – November 16, 2023
Kathryn Daniel Hull, 88, died peacefully on Thursday, November 16, 2023, in Green Valley, Arizona. She was born in Greenville, South Carolina, to Dixon McEwen Daniel and Mary Elizabeth Thompson. Her father worked for the Corps of Engineers, so they moved frequently. They lived in several states throughout the south, including a few years in the Panama Canal Zone. When she and her family returned to the United States, she graduated High School in South Hill, VA. She continued her education by attending Nursing School in Camden, SC.
She was a direct commission into the United States Air Force as a Nurse. Kathy was always proud of her status as a Military Veteran. She met her husband, Ronald Hull, while both were stationed in Texas. They married on July 4, 1961. She was honorably discharged from the USAF so that she could become a full-time mother and homemaker. Her family was the most important thing to her.
Kathy’s hobbies included cooking, sewing, cross-stitch and traveling. With her husband Ron by her side, they traveled the world by means of Rail, Sea, Air, and several different RV Trailers. They discovered southern Arizona in the early 1990s and decided to settle there.
Kathy is survived by her three children: Linda (Robin) Stuart of Huntsville, Alabama; Laura (Steve) Warrington of Larkspur, Colorado; and Ronald William (Ginny) Hull, Jr., of Auburn, Alabama. Ron and Kathy have six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ron, just 52 days prior to her passing, her parents, three sisters and two brothers.
A Joint Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held in July 2024 at the Southern Arizona Veterans Cemetery in honor of what would have been their 63rd Wedding Anniversary. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the La Via Memory Care. Payment can be made via check or credit card. Please contact the La Posada Foundation, 520-648-7910, for details on how to contribute.
