Kenneth Edwin Hooten was born in Little Rock, Arkansas to Vard and Vesta Hooten.
He married the love of his life Desire Hooten. They were blessed with 5 children, Eric Hooten, Audra Hooten, Jason Benington, Nathan Benington and Jessamy Benington.
Kenny served 19 years in the Army; he lived 38 years in Alaska was a Manager at U.S.P.S. He toured for one year in the US from Arkansas to Nashville to Brownsville then to Harlem, Texas for 7 months before going to St George Utah for 9 years, then he and Desire settled in Tucson, Arizona.
Kenny Joined the LDS church in his late 50’s, he loved to tumble rocks, and collected them. He was an avid reader; learning was important to him, and he loved to work with tools. He also had a passion for bicycling and participated in marathons.
Kenny was known for being a real genuine person, nothing was ever about him and he didn’t want glory. He was a humble generous soul and will be truly missed.
Kenny is survived by his wife Desire Hooten, his 5 children Eric Hooten, Audra Hooten, Jason Benington, Nathan Benington and Jessamy Benington, 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
