It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Kimberly J. Dunford on July 14, 2023 in Tucson, Arizona.
'Kimberly Jo Dunford was born in Libertyville, IL on July 30th 1972 to parents James and Karen Dunford. She also had a great stepfather, Lee Schwind, in her life since 1984. Kim grew up in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin where she attended Lakewood Grade School and Badger High School. She moved around quite a bit in her time, living in northern Illinois in the late 1980s and moving to Sarasota, FL in the early 1990s, and more recently living in Fort Mill, SC, Asheville, NC, and Tucson, AZ.'
Kim had several jobs including salesclerk at Home Depot, pest control technician, dog trainer, and a zipline instructor. She was an avid horticulturist, spending her days outdoors hiking and learning more about the natural world around her. She was a talented athlete and great at any sport she tried. She had a quick wit and was always the funniest person in any group. Lending to her fun ways, she loved all genres of music and imitating her favorite artists. Luckily, she had a beautiful voice!
Kim is survived by her parents Karen and Lee Schwind, and her brother James C. Dunford. She is predeceased by her father James F. Dunford.
