Linda J Lavis

Died: October 14, 2020 in Tucson, Arizona

Linda left us way too soon. Those of us who knew and loved her can take comfort in the fact that (as her beautiful granddaughter put it) she lived many different lifetimes over the course of one life. Her sense of adventure took her from her small Iowa town to road trips across the country, to the Bohemian life in Haight-Ashbury and eventually to the deserts of Tucson. There she blossomed into a dogged Private Investigator, seeking justice for the wrongfully accused. Through the ups and downs, she remained a devoted mom, a loving grandma and a loyal friend. The world is a richer place for her having been in it. She is survived by her brother Phillip McLaughlin and sister Sue Lee. Her loving daughter Lisa Gerhard and son David "Shawn" Meeks. Along with her grandchildren Sierra, Kaleb and Cole.
