Lloyd David Martin

Lloyd David Martin, age 62, of Picture Rocks, Arizona, died unexpectedly on Thursday, March 6, 2025. David grew up in Blountville, Tennessee. He graduated from Sullivan Central High School in 1980 and East Tennessee State University in 1984.

David was an active member of the Pantano Christian Church in Tucson, Arizona. He was involved in several of their ministries at the church.

David enjoyed building model airplanes as well as remote control planes. Riding motorcycles was another one of his favorite things to do.

He is preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Shaffer Martin.

David was survived by his former wife, Amy Black Martin; his daughter, Jessica Martin and son, Jon Martin of Ohio. He is also survived by his mother, Betty Martin of Blountville, Tennessee; his brother, Freddy (Carol) Martin from Blountville, Tennessee and his sisters, Teresa A. Martin and Melissa (Scott) Shelton of Kingsport, Tennessee. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

It was David’s wish to be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Memorials, in lieu of flowers, can be made in David’s memory to Pantano Christian Church in Tucson, Arizona or Bristol Emergency Food Pantry, Bristol, Virginia.
