Malcolm A. Lav, or lovingly known as Milton or Gogi, was born January 20, 1940 to Edward and Kaley (Bornstein) Lav in Newark, New Jersey. He died October 7, 2024 in Tucson, Arizona.
Malcolm spent most of his life in New Jersey, from Newark to Cranford where he married his high school sweetheart Barbara Dehmer and moved to Freehold after returning home from the Navy, then moved to Manalapan where he started his family. Then later in life he married Carol Dahl in 1985, in Lakewood, New Jersey. He ended up moving to Boca Raton, Florida before finally settling in Tucson.
Malcolm had a great sense of humor and was very kind and charitable to others. He loved to cook family recipes for everyone and to go out to dinner with friends and family, always meeting new people. Malcolm enjoyed spending time at home outside in his garden watching the birds while having a cigar and beer.
He is survived by his daughters, Jodee (Danny) Buck and Tracy Vaughn; grandchildren, Matthew Vaughn, Kaley Vaughn and Danee Buck; brothers, Marc (Ellen) Lav and Brian Lav, his girlfriend of two years, Marilyn Heffernan and nieces and nephews.
Malcolm was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 35 years, Carol Dahl Lav.
