Marilyn Klaren was born to parents George Helms and Margaret Ila Helms on January 13, 1940.
Marilyn grew up in Lamont, Iowa and graduated from Lamont High School. She then went on to leave her hometown and attended Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, California. Her education ultimately led to her position as President of Western TV Cable.
She was quite the traveler and lived in Chicago, Illinois, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and she spent the last five years in Tucson, Arizona.
Marilyn was active in her community and loved to have a good time. She attended St. Marks Church and was a member of the Women’s Golf Club at El Conquistador. She often took trips down to the casino for video poker and catching up with family and friends who accompanied her. She was an avid Las Vegas Raiders fan and followed them closely.
Marilyn will be remembered for her gentle kindness, her beautiful smile, her strong friendships, and her love for life.
Marilyn is survived by her husband Darryl Klaren, her children Lisa Nye, Patrick (Kendra) Klaren, her grandchildren Tyler Nye, Sean Nye, Melanie Tuck, and Christopher Nye, her greatgrandchildren Evie Nye, Frances Tuck, and Fiona Tuck, her siblings Darwin Helms, Georgia (Cyril) Koch, Dawn (Dennis) Kendrick, Bev (Bill) Stevenson, Chip Helms, and Jody (Jim) Nolda.
Marilyn is predeceased by her parents George and Margaret Helms.
