Mark Edward McGovern

Mark Edward McGovern passed away October 20, 2024 in Tucson. Mark and his twin brother Mike were born in Tucson on March 20, 1953. 

Mark is preceded in death by his parents Tom and Pat; brothers, Kevin and Terry; and son, Jeff. 

He is survived by siblings. Tom ( Lorene), Mike (Debbie), Molly and Andy. He is also survived by nieces, Shannon, Whitney, Meagan, Mischa, Sydney and Nikki, and nephew, Garrett. 

Mark served in the Air Force and had lots of stories of London. After suffering a TBI almost 36 years ago, Mark showed great resiliency, valued his independence and displayed an impressive knowledge and use of the bus system. He worked at TEP, enjoyed all kinds of food, and remained forever stubborn. Deep thanks to his long-time caregiver and friend Virginia Swango. 

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 30 at 11am at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 1800 S. Kolb, Tucson, Arizona 85710.
