Phyllis Earline (Everingham) Castro, 77 passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, after a lifetime battle with heart disease that led to her sudden passing from cardiac complications during surgery.
She was born on October 3, 1945, to Earl H. Everingham and Phyllis V. McLaughlin. She was predeceased by her mother and father, as well as her son Fred Davey Jr. and great grandson JJ. Surviving were her children: Earline Medina (Juan-deceased), Jacqueline Moore, Carolyn Nizza (Mark), Trisha Wells (Jason-deceased) and Joseph Castro. Grandchildren: Rachel, Ghorghe, Jessica, Carlos, and Rebekah. Matthew and Kristopher. Elizabeth (Justice) and Brandon. Joshua and Bethany. Kristen and Samantha. Joey, Timmy, and Danny. Great Grandchildren: Ava, Dylan, Bella, Aiden, Eli, Wesley, Gabriel, Bryson, Noah, AJ, Nova, and Olivia. Special mention to her Niece Nancy McEnany, Nephew Ken Harrison, Great Niece Brittany Ferguson, mothers to her grandchildren Candi Myers and Angela Bowers.
Phyllis graduated from Spring Ford High in Royersford, PA and later became a registered medical assistant. But her most important job was as "Mom" even after her children were grown, she continued raising 3 grandsons and 2 granddaughters. She did this until the last day of her life.
She had the soul of a gypsy and spent her life living all over the country. She lived in Pennsylvania, Florida, Arkansas, Washington, Texas, New Jersey, and Arizona. Although she loved Arizona, she always considered Pennsylvania and New Jersey as home. Besides her adventurous spirit she also had unlimited strength, and tenacity, incredible intelligence, optimism and was open minded. She was an incredible woman that will be sorely missed by all. May she rest in peace.

We will be having a Celebration of Life on Saturday January 28th, 2023 from 1pm to 4 pm. It will be at Reid Park 900 S Randolph way by Reid zoo in Tucson Az. It will be at Ramada #18. Please wear a purple shirt in memory of Mom/Grammy.
