With heavy hearts we announce the death of Rebecca Train on April 18, 2025 in Tucson, Arizona. Born in Citrus Heights, California on October 21, 1977 to William Train, Sr. and Roberta Barrett. She will forever be known as Becky, Beck, or Choo-Choo to her friends and loved ones.
After growing up in Citrus Heights, California she traveled through life taking opportunities to experience different cities. Honolulu, Hawaii for a short time, then to Santa Cruz, California. In Santa Cruz, Rebecca graduated from Cabrillo Community College with an Associate’s Degree. After being accepted into Berkeley’s Psychology Program, a proud achievement of hers, she headed off the East Bay Area of California. Due to medical circumstances she was forced to halt her studies but another opportunity brought a move to Portland, Oregon. When her mother passed, Rebecca returned to Sacramento, California then ultimately moving to Tucson, Arizona to be close to family.
Rebecca loved taking pictures at concerts, being an avid fan of both music and photography. She deeply loved her beloved dogs Donner and Polly, who ushered her through different phases of her life. She never missed a Golden State Warriors game and admired Stephen Curry.
Rebecca was a thoughtful, kind soul known for her smart and truthful observations. She was diligent in her endeavors and respected by her peers. Rebecca leaves behind a best friend and partner of 25 beloved years, Kristina Shaffer. Older brother Bill Train, Aunt Jean, Uncle Jerry, numerous cousins and second cousins. An extended family of Janna, Jennifer and Maiyah as well as lifelong friends Christie and Danielle.
