Richard Badilla Gonzales

Richard Badilla Gonzales was born December 9, 1959 in Tucson, Arizona to Arthur A. Gomez and Dorthy M. Badilla. He passed away March 31, 2025 in Tucson.

Rick lived on Tucson's Westside for most of his life. He worked at two very popular eating joints: Pat Chili Dogs and St. Mary's Restaurant. He married Beatrice Gonzales on July 20, 1979 and they had four children. They separated in 1992 and finalized their divorce in 2015.

Ricky kept busy with his job and various side jobs, such as washing people's cars, cleaning yards and gardening. He was a man of all traits and you could count on him to get the job done.

Richard recently started attending Zion City Church and received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

He will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather. That protective brother to his siblings. That down to earth cool uncle to his nieces and nephews, a hardworking man that didn't have much time for himself as he was always busy caring for the people he loved. Richard didn't have lots of time to spend with his grandchildren or great grandchildren but when he did he had a sweet loving connection with them.

Richard is survived by his children, Richard Gonzales, Delia Hernandez, Shanise Gonzales and Brittany Gonzales; his brothers, Joseph Gonzales and Jesse Gomez; sister, Anna Sanchez; ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Gomez; his mother, Dorthy Miller; and his brothers, Arthur Gomez, Jr. and Mark Gomez.
