Roberto “Bobby” Bedoya was born on January 30, 1949, in Cocorit, Sonora, Mexico, to Roberto C Bedoya and Romelia Felix. He passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2023, in Tucson, Arizona, at the age of 74.
“Bobby,” as he was affectionately known, spent his early years in Cocorit, moving to Ciudad Obregan, Sonora at the age of 11. When he turned 18, Bobby immigrated to Tucson, Arizona, where he has lived since.
Bobby met and married the love of his life, Leslie Morrison, in Tucson, Arizona, in 1968. They were blessed with a daughter, Teresa, whom he adored. Family was always most important to Bobby, and he loved getting together for family reunions. He was a wonderful brother—one his siblings looked up to.
A butcher by trade, Bobby prepared meat for 45 years. He retired from Fry’s Food Stores when he was 62 years old. He will be remembered for his talent and skill in his work.
Roberto is survived by his daughter, Teresa; granddaughters, Olivia and Addyson; and his siblings, Imelda, Esperanza, Romelia, Maria Luisa, Manuel, Francisco, and Javier.
Viewing will take place from 10-10:30am on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at St. Sacred Heart Church, 600 E. Fort Lowell, Tucson, immediately followed by Rosary. Mass will then be celebrated at 11:00am, with interment following at Holy Hope Cemetery, 3555 N. Oracle Rd., Tucson.
