Shelly Moser

Shelly Lynn Moser, 69 passed peacefully with her husband and daughters by her side due to health complications on March 12th, 2021 at Banner Hospital. She was born January 17, 1952 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Stephen Steinbauer and Phyllis Steinbauer-Eggleston (Ward).

Shelly graduated from Muskego High School, class of 1969. She married her high school sweetheart Steven Moser, and they recently celebrated 50 years of marriage in June. Calling Muskego, Wisconsin home until 2006 when they moved to Sahuarita, Arizona.

In addition to her parents and stepfather, Rich Eggleston, she was preceded in death by brothers Jimmy Steinbauer, Tommy Steinbauer and sister Lori Steinbauer-Grace, son-in-law Sam Bohrod, and niece Kathy Frick-Smith. Surviving, in addition to her husband Steven, are daughters Kim Moser-Fuentes and her husband Mike Fuentes of Sahuarita Arizona, Kerry Moser-Bohrod of White Bear Lake, MN, and Kelly Moser and fiancé Dave Lloyd of Casa Grande, AZ, sister Sue Steinbauer- Frick and husband Warren of Muskego, WI, brother John Eggleston and wife Colleen of Mooresville, NC, brother Bobby Steinbauer and wife Betsy of FL, and six grandchildren Lizzy, Nate and Lexi Moser, Zach Bohrod, and MJ and Izzy Fuentes. As wells as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A private family service was held.

As we celebrate the life of Shelly, we wanted to share who Shelly was to each of us.

From her husband, Steven: Shelly was the love of my life and high school sweetheart, we are the true meaning of love through it all. Shelly was an amazing mom and raised the girls while I was deployed in the Army. I always considered her the rock of the family. Countless memories were made at our Muskego home with family and friends during numerous holidays, annual pig roasts, bowling Sunday and every other reason to celebrate. We sincerely enjoyed entertaining everyone. Even though we moved away 14 years ago to Arizona and still appreciate the lifelong friendship we developed. While the love of my life will be truly missed, I will look back fondly and cherish the lifetime of memories we made.

From her three daughters Kim, Kerry, and Kelly: Our mom was beyond amazing will always be our role model. Some of our most treasured memories are from are family trips which always included tremendous amounts of fun and laughter. The shenanigans never stopped as we grew up whether it be singing and dancing to Slim Shady with a cone on her head to our many casino trips. She always had and ear to listen and was great at giving advice even when we didn’t enjoy it. She was not only a mom, but as we grew up, she became a true friend. She taught us all so much about life and from her we all gained her genuine heart and love for people and parties. We will always be grateful and celebrate you always and don’t worry mom we will all continue the tradition of the Shelly fun money to the grandkids. We love you with all of our hearts!

As much as we believe she lived for us (Steve and the girls), it’s safe to say it became all about the grandkids. The six pack was the heart of Shelly’s soul and she earned the title of Nana Banana. Lizzy was the luckiest to be raised by Nana and Papa (the rules changed and were very relaxed compared to when the girls grew up). They would have had an empty nest for the first time in 50 years, but then the pandemic hit, and Lizzy skipped college and stayed with them, now we realize it was a blessing. Most of the family followed Nana and Papa to Arizona and Zach was not being left out as he spent his summers in Arizona for many years. Thanks for the love and memories you will missed so much Nana Banana.

To all the additional family and friends Shelly was not always the best at calling so afraid that she would be interrupting something, but she loved you all dearly and talked of you often. We look back and laugh at all the memories we all shared together over the years with both family and friends. Shelly always considered Steve’s family to be her own, and she loved the extra sisters she gained in Marcia & Dotty and brothers Butch and Lenny.

Lastly, we can’t forget about the dogs. The current crew Layla, & Libby will miss the extra treats daily! Past pets that were equally loved include Molly, Luna, Monkey Mia, Muffy, Sinbad, & Dusty. They were always considered part of the family.

We ask that you cherish every moment with family and friends as life is too short. Go on the trip, buy the shoes, go to the casino and don’t forget to laugh. Rest in peace to an amazing woman. While we know you are in a better place you will be missed terribly by many. It’s not goodbye, but cheers until we meet again.
