A loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Steve was a quiet giant, a man of few words. When he spoke there was always a joke pending or stashed in his back pocket, waiting at his dispense. He was a jack of all trades as well as an avid hobbyist. Most times found in a heated card game, playing under the alias of “chee-tah”. His nose could be found buried in a Bible or a trilogy of books. Other times he was found stuck behind his electronic screens searching for his next project or scouring the internet for the most thoughtful and creative gifts. Although thoughtful, beware the gift that says “from Steve/Santa”, a prankster and a jokester was one of his biggest things. Beyond everything, his favorite place to be was surrounded by his loved ones, sitting next to his wife. He had the kindest heart, and loved his family dearly, even if it wasn’t said. If you knew Steve, then you knew. He didn’t have to tell you. He was the first to lend a helping hand, or bring you into his home. Stray cats, dogs, birds, bunnies, kids, you name it, he was a father to them all. His blue eyes had seen so much throughout this lifetime, he was ready to go home.
Though we mourn the loss of Stevie, his memory will forever stay. Sitting in his Raiders hat waiting on his Daisy Mae's. Remember his smile peaking through his burly mustache, and the joy he always gave. We’ll miss him and his coffee breath, and think of him everyday. His love filled the room with laughter, and that will never fade.
