Suzie was born June 6, 1963 in Denver, Colorado to James and Karen Chase. She was raised with her three sisters, Heidi, Jamie, and Betsy in Arvada until moving to Tucson, Arizona where she finished high school. She then moved to Southern California where she had her eldest daughter Janey OBrien in 1985. She learned to dog groom exceptionally well under a dear friend's tutelage and began a 30-year long career, not only beautifying animals but fostering animals who were sick and those too young to find homes alone. Her youngest daughter, Katie Chase was born in 1991. She spent many years in Long Beach, California and spending many hours at Huntington dog beach and helping to feed the wild cat population in San Pedro with dear friends Myra and Diane. She attended several courses at a local community college to enhance upon her love of knowledge, which she instilled in her daughters, along with the love and compassion for all animals.
Later in life she moved back to Colorado, then to Arizona where she passed peacefully in her sleep with her mother and youngest sister by her side.
She is survived by father, Jim Chase; mother, Karen Chase; eldest sister, Heidi Chase; younger sisters, Jamie Freidel (Dave) and Betsy Chase. She also leaves behind her daughters, Janey OBrien and Katie Chase, as well as her beloved terrier Woody and cat Angel-baby.
