Tony Demara, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on June 7, 2024, at the age of 77 in Tucson, Arizona. Born on August 20, 1946, in Orange County, California, Tony was the son of Tony Demara and Gloria Torres.
Tony's life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his family and his many passions. He began his journey as a boxer in California before settling in Tucson, where he married the love of his life, Mary Demara. Tony worked as a mechanic for 20 years before retiring as a sergeant control officer.
Known for his playful spirit and humorous nature, Tony enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He cherished boat rides with his father, had a deep love for guns and planes, and found joy in making and collecting model planes. Tony was an avid supporter of the Dallas Cowboys football team and loved to dance.
Above all, Tony was a devoted husband who loved Mary unconditionally. Their bond was a testament to enduring love and companionship, setting an example for all who knew them. Tony's strength and provider role within his family were clear reflections of his deep faith and his belief in God's guidance throughout his life.
Tony leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. He is survived by his children Toni Damara Gradillas (Eddie), Maria Gonzalez (John), Manny Rodriguez (Veronica), Mercedes Tona, Johnny Grijalva, Edna Miranda (Stephen), and Tony Jr. Demara; 14 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
Tony was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary, as well as his father, Tony, and mother, Gloria.
Tony Demara will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on through the love and strength he instilled in his family and the countless cherished moments they shared together.
