Virginia Lee “Ginny” Weeks, age 85, of Tucson, AZ passed away Monday, September 28,2020.

She was born May 9,1935 in Gaylord, Michigan, the daughter of Gerald and Margaret (Irwin) Crank.

While living in Gaylord, Ginny was a homemaker, worked at the Otsego County Clerk’s office for many years and was co-owner of the Facchinetti Funeral Home. In 1991, she moved to Big Rapids, Michigan where she worked for MTA Travel and then purchased and operated Ginny’s Buffalo Inn in Stanwood.

Ginny married the love of her life, Jack R. Weeks on April 11,1997 and together they enjoyed 23 years of marriage.

Ginny loved traveling, knitting, bowling, shuffle board, decorating and watching sports, especially golf, on television. She was a fun-loving, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend who will be deeply missed.

Ginny is survived by her children, Barbara (Ronald) Towns of Mecosta, Michigan; Carol(Robert) Fay of Alanson, Michigan; Dawn (David) Stocker of Davenport, Florida; Connie(Matthew) Madej of Gaylord, Michigan; Tim (Christie) Weeks of Canton, Georgia and Jason(Jackie) Weeks of Ladera Ranch, California; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sandra (Alan) Martin of Scottville, Michigan; Lola (Ronald) Durham of Luckey, Ohio; one brother Grove (Kathleen) Crank of Twentynine Palms, California; many nieces, nephews, and her cousin Bonnie Burr of Avon Park, Florida, who was like a sister.

Ginny was preceded in death by her son Mark Edwin Petersen on December 27, 2019, her parents, four brothers Otto, William, Dale and Michael Crank, and sister Sally Black.

Memorial contributions may be made in Ginny’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105.

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no public service at this time. Ginny will be laid to rest at the Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery 15950 N. Luckey Rd. Marana, Arizona 85653.
